Spittin' Chiclets co-host and self-proclaimed Leafs superfan Paul Bissonnette was reportedly attacked and assaulted by 6 men during restaurant altercation.

Per Fox10 Phoenix, Bissonnette was jumped on November 24th after approaching a group of men with restaurant management at an establishment in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Per the report, Bissonnette was attempting to aid management in calming a group of 6 men down inside the restaurant, which is where the alleged assault was initiated. The report also stated that after being attacked inside the establishment, Bissonnette was also assaulted outside of the restaurant as well.

Six assailants have been apprehended as a result of the attack and the report confirmed that Bissonnette was taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Bissonnette was an enforcer during his time in the NHL and certainly knows how to handle himself. However, against a large group of combatants, anyone would be overwhelmed.

Thoughts and prayers are with Bissonnette during his recovery, and if and when more details become available, we'll share them. Get well soon, Paul.
