The NHL trade deadline is now behind us and we're starting to find out some of the deals that fell through. The Toronto Maple Leafs were of course trying to move on from Tyson Barrie however it didn't happen and he'll finish the season in Toronto. One team we heard were making a serious push for Barrie was the Vancouver Canucks however ended up backing out a couple of hours before the deadline. We now have some details regarding the deal that could have seen Barrie shipped off to Vancouver. According to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet, the Canucks were going to ship a package featuring defenseman Troy Stecher. However the deal fell through because the Canucks weren't able to provide the draft picks the Leafs' wanted and Vancouver wouldn't give up any prospects. It still remains a strong possibility that the Canucks sign him during free agency this summer. Would you have liked to see this trade go through?
