Maple Leafs forward Nick Robertson could soon be on the move with a trio of Western Conference teams reportedly showing interest in the young winger.
The Toronto Maple Leafs finally got themselves back into the win column on Saturday night in Edmonton, thanks in large to a brilliant performance from goaltender Joseph Woll, who stopped 45 of 48 shots in the win over the Oilers.
Eight different Maple Leafs picked up points in this one, highlighted by multi-point performances from Matthew Knies, Mitch Marner and Auston Matthews. Unfortunately, despite firing 2 shots on goal, Nick Robertson couldn't find his way onto the score sheet in his 10:26 of ice time.
Robertson has not produced a single point in any of his last 5 games, which has once again led to his name coming up in the rumour mill.
According to The Fourth Period's David Pagnotta, Robertson has officially been linked to 3 teams out West, as indicated in his most recent Trade Watch List, which he shared on social media on Sunday.
"The Maple Leafs want to upgrade their mid-six and have continued to dangle Robertson as trade bait. He could be packaged up in a move for an upgrade as Toronto has its sights set on chasing a Stanley Cup. TEAMS REPORTEDLY LINKED: Dallas, Seattle, Anaheim"
Robertson had previously been linked to the Dallas Stars this season, which is where his brother, Jason, plays as well. It will be interesting to see if the Leafs finally pull the trigger and complete a trade to give Robertson a fresh start after a tough run in Toronto this season.
