The Toronto Maple Leafs have been heavily talked about regarding possibly moving out one of their defenseman and at the top of the list seems to be Travis Dermott. We've also heard that Justin Holl might be on the move as the defenseman has been a healthy scratch for a couple games now. Both players are attractive in their own sense however Dermott seems to be the one that would bring back a bigger return and has the more attractive contract of the two signed through the 2022-23 season with a cap hit of $1.5million before he becomes a restricted free agent with arbitration rights. Playing in a city like Toronto, it's hard not to hear the rumours and Dermott was asked about them before last night's game. «Just play it off, keep doing what I do until something happens - if it's going to happen. Best I can do for myself is come here and show what I have every day. I'm in the blue and white right now, that's where my (focus) is ... ... I feel like (rumours) can bounce off the wall so many ways. You don't know if something got misinterpreted or something's going on ... so many ways it could've gone. There have been so many rumours in the past (including going to Seattle in he draft) . I'm still here."The 24 year old has an assist in 11 games so far this season along with a +3 +/- rating.
