"Center Tyler Bozak missed Saturday's 2-1 loss at the Vancouver Canucks due to an illness and he was absent this morning when the Toronto Maple Leafs returned to the practice ice.
During line rushes, head coach Mike Babcock had William Nylander centering the third line between James van Riemsdyk and Mitch Marner.
After practice Babcock confirmed that Bozak is still dealing with his illness and his status for Wednesday night's game against the Calgary Flames remains uncertain.
As far as Nylander playing center and the possibility of that happening in a game, we got a pretty typical Mike Babcock answer.
"It's something that … who knows? If we got to use him, we will maybe try him there,» Babcock said per Terry Koshan.
Here is how the team lined up this morning. What do you think?
Babcock unsure about Bozak's status for Wednesday's game; if Tyler is too sick to play it sounds like Nylander will get a shot at centre Today was William's first practice at centre this season — Mark Masters (@markhmasters) December 4, 2017
