Another player in the Sens organization just took the Ridly Greig approach to an empty-netter

Obviously, a lot was made out of the Ridly Greig/Morgan Rielly incident a few weeks back, when Greig wound up for a full-bore clapper on the Leafs' empty net, which prompted a response from Morgan Rielly, who cross-checked Greig in the shoulder and head, resulting in a 5-game suspension. However, do you think that taught anyone in the Sens organization a lesson? Apparently not.

I don't know whether it's just the Sens who have no respect for their opponents or just a random coincidence, but during last night's game between the Utica Comets and the Belleville Senators in AHL action, Angus Crookshank found himself with an opportunity to bury one into the empty net late in the 3rd period and instead of just tucking it in, he let the flex on his stick test its maximum velocity and wired a hard wrister top shelf.

A Comets player did skate towards Crookshank to share some words, but Crookshank wanted no part of any altercation, and instead, skated to his bench for some fist bumps and probably a little protection.

Two such incidents just a few weeks apart really just points to a lack of organizational integrity than anything else. You would have assumed that someone in the organization would have passed the message down the pipeline that behaviour like what we saw from Greig and now what we've seen from Crookshank simply isn't acceptable. Of course, it's the Senators organization, so I'm not surprised that no such message was sent.
