Three players currently in the Leafs organization were in action today at the Olympics and all three of them found themselves on the scoresheet. Americans, Matthew Knies and Nick Abruzzese were key contributors in the Americans 3-2 win over Germany. Knies, who has looked impressive for Team USA scored in the 2nd period to give Team USA a 2-1 lead. That goal was assisted by fellow Leafs prospect, Nick Abruzzese. Knies has looked very impressive at the Olympics with a goal and an assist in 3 games, but it could quite easily have been more with the chances he's generated. The Phoenix, AZ native has had an incredible 2021-2022 season and his stock keeps rising within the Leafs organization.

The two prospects were not the only players in the Leafs' system with impressive showings today. Marlies forward, Josh Ho-Sang had two assists in Canada's 5-0 win over China. Ho-sang has looked dangerous for Team Canada while playing on a line with future hall of famer Eric Staal, and Ducks prospect Mason McTavish. He has 3 assists in 3 games and has been one of Canada's most relied upon players through the preliminary round. If Ho-Sang keeps playing the way he has all season - the Leafs trade deadline add on forward could already be a part of the organization.

All three players put on a good showing this morning and have a chance to showcase their skills even more. Knies and the Americans have won Group A, giving them a bye to the quarter finals. Meanwhile Ho-Sang and Team Canada will take on China in a qualifying matchup on Tuesday morning.
