For the Toronto Maple Leafs, this season is going to be a big one. But, in order to move forward, you have to move on. What happened in the past is just that - it's in the past. For Alex Kerfoot, moving on hasn't necessarily been easy, but he knows what he needs to work on. During a recent interview with The Athletic's Jonas Siegel, he discussed his miscue in game six, as well as the penalties he took that led to goals for the Lightning - plus the trade rumours that have followed him around the past couple of seasons.
Kerfoot's words really show how much his actions impacted him. The miscue in game six was big, but making mistakes is a part of being a human being. It seems like Kerfoot is ready to move on and be the best version of himself to show everyone the value he brings to the Leafs. With this season being as important as it is, everybody is under a lot of pressure, but pressure creates diamonds. Hopefully all of the downs of previous seasons are leading to some incredible ups this season.
