Brace yourselves, Leafs Nation, we have another blueline injury to announce. During the first period of the Leafs/Stars game in Dallas on Tuesday, 24-year-old Victor Mete took a big hit from Stars blueliner Jani Hakanpaa along the boards and was labouring. He made his way off the bench, down the tunnel and did not return for the second period. It was announced a short time later that he would not return. Here's the hit from Hakanpaa that did the damage.

The official report on Mete is a lower-body injury and we probably won't have a more accurate timeline for his return until tomorrow when the Leafs are back in Toronto.

The Leafs have had horrendous injury luck this season, particularly on the blueline. They're already without the services of Jake Muzzin, Morgan Rielly, T.J. Brodie, Jordie Benn and Carl Dahlstrom. Thankfully, Brodie returned to practice on Monday and has not yet been ruled out for Thursday's game against Los Angeles.
