With CHL and NCAA seasons already having begun, there are several Leafs prospects who are already grinding away and putting the tools they learned at summer development camp and training camp to good use. We know that Ty Voit has started out his season scoring at a 2.00 points-per-game pace. We know that Matthew Knies has 3 points, including 2 goals, through his first two games in his sophomore NCAA season. Well, now there's another Leafs prospect worth talking about who is making waves to start the year in the WHL.

2022 7th round pick Brandon Lisowsky has begun his season with the Saskatoon Blades on a 4-game point streak, putting up 5 points, all assists, which is surprising considering the fact that he's more of a sniper.

Lisowsky put up 33 goals and 58 points in 68 games last season and is on pace to crush those totals this year. A diminutive forward, standing just 5'9, Lisowsky is one of the more underrated shooters in his draft class. If he can add a little strength and improve the details of his game, he has definite sleeper potential. It's not often that 7th round picks make the NHL, but with the right mindset and a good work ethic, Lisowsky may just defy the odds.
