It what was a classic Maple Leaf ''trap'' game against the 2nd-worst team in the league last year and the Leafs failed to collect the easy two points on Monday. If you're a true Leafs fan, you saw the loss against the Coyotes coming and may have even cashed in on a Nick Ritchie goal wager because former Leafs always score when they return to Toronto.

Not only did the Leafs struggle to score on an AHL lineup, but they once again gave up the game-winning goal with less than 2 minutes to go. They would go on to tie it late only to have the goal called back, but regardless, they should've walked away with at least one point.

As if taking the two points wasn't enough, Coyotes social media team absolutely trolled the Leafs after tweeting "Keeping the streak alive" followed by the stat line that said the last time the Coyotes failed to earn at least a point in Toronto was exactly 20 years ago to the day - October 17, 2002.

Whiteboard material. The Leafs should absolutely be posting things like this in the locker room for the team to see and become embarrassed by. They need some sort of motivation to use to their benefit. Perhaps a team who couldn't pay their bills and was kicked out of their home arena, forcing them to play out of a college rink for the next 3 years beating them and then dunking on them on social media could be the fuel the Leafs need to snap out of it and show up to play a full 60-minute game.
