Samsonov is fifth overall with a 5-on-5 save percentage of .939 while Kallgren is surprisingly ranked tenth with a save percentage of .931. It's not surprising to see Samsonov is where he is on the list given how well he was playing before he got hurt, but with how Kallgren has struggled at times, even just tracking the puck, his numbers are very surprising. At 5-on-5, Kallgren has given the Leafs a chance to win. The issue is that the Leafs have been unable to produce and give Kallgren much goal support.
At the other end of the list, ranked last, is former Leaf and current Oiler Jack Campbell who has a 5-on-5 save percentage of .882. It doesn't come as a surprise with how many times he has allowed a goal or two in the first few minutes of a game this season. While the Oilers were the team that didn't have many questions in the off-season about their goaltending situation, the Leafs had many questions surrounding Samsonov and Matt Murray, but 20 games into the season, the tables have turned.
