Avs captain Gabriel Landeskog makes interesting comment about doing drugs
Despite a disappointing shootout loss to the Arizona Coyotes on Tuesday, the Colorado Avalanche are the hottest team in hockey, losing just twice in their last 18 games, and 4 in their last 25.
Following the shocking upset loss at home to one of the league's worst teams, Avalanche captain
Gabriel Landeskog spoke was one of several players who spoke with the media. He commented on what the Avs' run this season has been like, but made a very interesting comparison.
"Once you start winning -- I don't do a lot of drugs -- but I can imagine it's like a drug," said Landeskog.
His choice of words is certainly creating a stir on social media, particularly the words "I don't do a lot of drugs".
Now, while Landeskog (who was born in Stockholm, Sweden) likely meant that he doesn't do drugs, that hasn't stopped people from interpreting his words how they will, even though his follow-up sentence implies that he's never taken drugs - specifically the words "I can imagine".
Nevertheless, people are going to talk. I'd venture to guess that Landeskog will have to answer a follow-up question on this in the not-too-distant future to address some of the online chatter.
