There was a bit of a scary scene in Windsor involving a Toronto Maple Leafs prospect on Sunday during a game between the hometown Spitfires and the Sarnia Sting in some afternoon OHL action.

Ty Voit, a 2021 5th round draft pick of the Leafs, was leading a rush up the ice and got absolutely blown up in open ice after sending a pass off to the wing - one that the young forward got caught admiring.

Voit lay motionless on the ice, as the many onlookers in attendance held their breath, hoping that the 18-year-old would be alright. After a few moments, a stretcher was brought onto the ice, per league protocol, but thankfully he was able to make it back to his feet and the stretcher was not needed. Here's a clip of the heavy hit.

Windsor's Nathan Ribau was ejected for a blindside hit, however, Voit, the Sting's leading scorer this season, was forced to leave the game and did not return. The Spitfires skated away with a 5-1 victory, and the Sting lost more than just the game. A pretty rough way to end the weekend.

Voit has notched 13 goals and added 41 assists for a total of 54 points through 43 games with the Sting this season. We have yet to hear an update on his status, but will provide one when it becomes available.

Here's hoping the youngster can rest and recovery quickly so he can pick up right where he left off, racking up the points for Sarnia the rest of the way.
