Earlier this season we heard the possibility that one of the Toronto Maple Leafs forwards might head back to Russia.

Now it's happening.
The Maple Leafs placed forward Kirill Semyonov on waivers for the purpose of contract termination.
Semyonov has only played in 3 games so far this season and failed to register a point.
