In his past six starts, Binnington is 0-6 with a 5.11 goals-against average and an .827 save percentage, but he feels as though there's a lot that is contributing to his rough stretch beyond just his own play.
Binnington was very candid about his emotional outbursts, which Berube said he needs to control. He explained them as frustration after having the same start as the past few seasons. "It just gets frustrating over a period of time where it's the same thing that you're seeing and you expect things to be different," said Binnington. "I'm not here to waste my fing time every game. It's the NHL. Let's go!"
Binnington is expected to start tomorrow against a depleted Colorado Avalanche team. The hope is that he can get back on track, settle in and hopefully just play some good hockey. In the words of his head coach, "he just has to stop the puck."
