The Toronto Maple Leafs had a golden opportunity to come out for Game 4 in Tampa, play hard and hopefully steal another one from the Bolts in enemy territory, sending the series back home with a 3-1 lead. Well, unfortunately, William Nylander took a horrendous and completely avoidable penalty in the first period, which led to an Alex Killorn power play goal in the first period.

Nylander could have very easily just gave Stamkos a bump with his shoulder if he wanted to send a message. Sticking your leg out and essentially slew-footing a guy is not the play. In the end, all Nylander did here was put his team on their heels and feed Tampa some motivation and energy that they didn't need tonight.

This is some poor decision-making from Nylander here and it could prove costly for the Leafs with Tampa now up 2-0 after 20 minutes.
