Chara played his last two seasons in Washington and Long Island, but there's no denying that the former Bruins captain's heart is in Boston. However, that doesn't necessarily mean that a comeback is in the cards.
According to the Boston Globe's Matt Porter, Chara was simply at the rink on Tuesday to touch base with some of his former teammates and that, at this point, there are no contract talks occurring between Chara and Bruins GM Don Sweeney.
Chara also mentioned that he intended to be "low-key" on Tuesday and that he has not yet decided if he will resume his NHL career this season. One of the big storylines this summer was whether or not Chara would announce his retirement after 24 NHL seasons. Apparently, Chara has not yet decided what will await him in his immediate future.
