Connor McDavid scores the most Connor McDavid goal of all time
The Oilers were already up 3-0 in the first period when Connor McDavid decided to add insult to injury. McDavid added another goal to his already impressive highlight reel with just over two minutes left in the period.
McDavid was knocked down just outside the Predators' blueline by Ryan McDonagh and his momentum sent him into a 360 as he crossed the blueline. At the same time, Predators' defenseman Alexandre Carrier had the puck hop over his stick after it bounced off the boards. The puck landed back on McDavid's stick as he got back to his feet before he let a wrister go to beat Juuse Saros to give the Oilers a 4-0 lead.
McDavid once again proved why he is the best offensive player in the league right now with his goal last night. At the same time, though, there was a ridiculous amount of luck involved. With the goal, McDavid is up to 5 points in 3 games. It's crazy to think that is still less than Auston Matthews' goal total. At the moment.
