The hockey world was rocked earlier this month by the announcement that young Ben Stelter, a six-year-old boy from Edmonton who rose to fame for his unique personality after having the spotlight placed on him by the Edmonton Oilers organization due to a battle with brain cancer, had passed away.

Stelter took Oilers Nation by storm, but quickly became known to just about every fanbase around the league because of his infectious laugh, his passion for hockey and the Oilers and his catch phrase, "Play La Bamba, Baby!".

Ben's celebration of life was held on Friday and there wasn't a dry eye in the house, as Ben had touched many hearts in Edmonton and across the nation. Here are some clips of the memorial event.

Oilers captain Connor McDavid made the trip back to Edmonton from his home in Ontario for the celebration and wore his autographed Ben Stelter Oilers jersey, with a B over his heart in place of the usual C.

McDavid even drove in the procession in his Ferrari, adorned with a massive Ben Stelter decal on the hood.

Rest in peace, Ben. In your very short time in this world, you touched a lot of hearts and you're going to be missed, not only by the Oilers community, but by the rest of the hockey community as well.
