Carson Briere - son of current Interim General Manager of the Philadelphia Flyers, Daniel Briere - has been charged with criminal mischief and disorderly conduct after his actions at an Erie bar on the 11th of March surfaced.

Briere was caught on video first looking at a wheelchair at the top of a stair case at a nightclub and testing it out a bit before eventually pushing it down a flight of stairs. The Erie police also filed the same charges to Patrick Carrozzi, who is a member of the lacrosse team at Mercyhurst and was present with Briere at the time of the incident.

The charges are related to the second-degree misdemeanours of criminal mischief related to property damage, criminal conspiracy to commit criminal mischief, and the summary offense of disorderly conduct, per the official report.

Both Daniel and Carson issued statements last week in relation to the incident. Daniel Briere was quoted as saying:

"I was shocked to see Carson's actions in the video that was shared on social media yesterday,» he said. «They are inexcusable and run completely counter to our family's values of treating people with respect. Carson is very sorry and accepts full responsibility for his behaviour.»

While Carson doubled down with:

"I am deeply sorry for my behaviour on Saturday. there is no excuse for my actions, and i will do whatever I can to make up for this serious lack of judgement."
