David Pastrnak addresses the questions about his future in Boston
There has been some talk this summer over whether or not Boston Bruins winger David Pastrnak would like to re-up with the B's. There were rumours floating around that Pastrnak wouldn't sign an extension in Boston because he wanted to know what direction the team is going in once Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci retire before committing to a long-term deal. Well, according to Pasta himself, that's not entirely true.
Pastrnak revealed on Friday that he loves the city of Boston and considers it his home. He stated that he would certainly consider signing long-term with the Bruins, but also stated that the contract talks are not his primary focus right now.
"Of course. We love it here. This is our home. This is where I became a man. I've spent unbelievable years here with Rebecca and we are really happy. But my focus moving forward is to be ready for Game 1"

Pastrnak is entering the final season of a 6-year, $40M deal, which carries a $6.66M AAV. He's also coming off of 4 consecutive point-per-game seasons, so it's almost a certainty that the AAV on his next deal will start with double digits.
