With another All-Star Game in the books, this time it was Team Matthews who won it all and took home the $1M prize after defeating Team McDavid 7-4 in the finale. All three games on the day had a more competitive feel to them than in years past and the league couldn't have been happier that the best player in the league, Connor McDavid, along with long-time Leafs rival David Pastrnak had to take on the Leaf-heavy Team Matthews in the finals in front of the hometown crowd.

Not only was Team Matthews victorious, but Matthews himself was named the 2024 NHL All-Star MVP. It wasn't all good vibes, though, as David Pastrnak and Nikita Kucherov were sporadically booed over the weekend. It would appear as though there is no love lost between Pastrnak and the Leafs, or their fanbase, as following the festivities, Pastrnak was asked about losing to Team Matthews, and chose to deliver a bit of a parting shot to the city of Toronto.

"Good for them. They needed some wins. They got one."

Known for his friendly banter, including commenting on Justin Bieber's Instagram post after he and the Bruins dispatched the Leafs from the playoffs in 2019, Pastrnak's answer garnered laughs from the media members around him.

With the All-Star festivities wrapped up, most players will return to their teams and resume the regular schedule while others will begin their bye weeks. For the Leafs, it's back to business right away on Monday with the New York Islanders in town to welcome the Leafs back from their bye week.

Leaf fans will have to wait until March 4th to clap back at Pastrnak for his parting shot, as the Leafs and Bruins don't meet again until that date.
