Well, ladies and gents, just as quickly as it started, the Leafs' 2022 prospects development camp has officially wrapped up, following a spirited scrimmage battle between team white and team blue at Ford Performance Centre in Toronto on Friday.

This week, we've seen clips from the likes of Matthew Knies, Ty Voit, Fraser Minten, William Villeneuve and various other Leafs prospects, showing their skills and picking up some tricks that they can use when they return to their respective teams this fall. We've also seen some prospects who were not drafted and who remain unsigned who are hoping to secure deals showcase their skills, such as Dylan and Ty Jackson (twin brothers from Oakville, Ontario), Beau Jelsma and Pano Fimis, among others.

Jelsma was among the standouts on Friday, as were Ryan Tverberg, Ty Voit and the Jackson twins. Here are some clips of the highlights from today's scrimmage:

I'd imagine that the Leafs will look at signing an ELC or two following this camp and it wouldn't surprise me in the least if one of the was Beau Jelsma, who looked dangerous for most of the scrimmage.

Another name who I wouldn't be surprised to see earn an ELC is 19-year-old Avery Hayes, who played his last 3 seasons with the OHL's Hamilton Bulldogs. As you might recall, both Kyle Dubas and Jason Spezza had scouted the Bulldogs a number of times during the Memorial Cup playoffs earlier this year. It wouldn't shock me if they take a chance on Hayes, who posted 79 points in 66 games this season and then absolutely EXPLODED in the OHL playoffs, notching 14 goals and 34 points in just 16 games.

The Leafs do have 48/50 contracts on the books already for next season, so it will be interesting to see what Dubas and company have in store to be able to free up a few contract spots - especially with Rasmus Sandin still needing a contract extension. The Leafs are currently about $1.4M over the cap, so we should see at least one move coming sooner than later.
