Elliotte Friedman reveals where Patrick Kane is most likely headed this season
Entering the final year of his 8-year contract that will see him make $10.5M, Patrick Kane is also entering the first year of a complete rebuild of the Chicago Blackhawks. Plenty of rumours made the headlines this off-season as to whether he would stay or go and for now, Kane intends to stay to see how things play out over the first couple months of the season.
Should he want out, there will be a number of teams lining up to make a pitch to Hawks with the most reported being the likes of the Oilers and Rangers. Elliotte Friedman provided some insight on his 32 Thoughts podcast the other day.
«I do believe that is, until proven otherwise, I think the Rangers are the most likely destination although there are a lot of variables there».
Patrick Kane going to the Rangers makes the most sense given that he would be reunited with his former winger Artemi Panerin. Not only that, but the Rangers have an excellent grouping of prospects and young roster players that they would be able to send back to the Hawks.
