Exciting news coming out of Toronto from Leafs practice on Friday
The Leafs are inching ever closer to a full compliment of healthy players, as the team announced on Friday that three more players have exited COVID-19 protocol.
Per the official Leafs PR account on Twitter, defensemen Jake Muzzin and
Morgan Rielly returned to practice on Friday, as did winger
William Nylander.
This bodes well for the Leafs, who just a few days ago, looked like they might have to ice a roster with several AHLers in the lineup against the Ottawa Senators on Saturday.
At this point, the only player the Leafs have remaining in protocol is rookie defenseman
Timothy Liljegren, who was placed in protocol just a few short days ago.
With the recent update to isolation guidelines for those who have tested positive, Liljegren may only require a 5-day isolation period if he is not showing symptoms, or if his symptoms are diminishing.
The Leafs/Sens game on Saturday will be the first game in 2022 to be played with no fan attendance.
