Fans offer up alternatives to Heritage Classic jersey; some of them are great!
To say the new Heritage Classic jersey the Leafs released during Saturday's contest against the blues in an aquired taste would be putting it mildly. Many Leafs fans felt the same way, and some of the more talented ones offered up alternatives to the navy blue abomination.
@NurseAlex19 created a beautiful tribute to the Leafs 3rd jersey of the early 2000s that should stir the heart of anyone who cheered for the Pat Quinn era Leafs.
@artamtc added a modern spin to the Sittler era Leafs jerseys, replacing the Ballard Leaf with the new logo and cleaning up the overall look.
Then I came across u/xSpoilerRL on Reddit. These were made a while ago, but are still gorgeous looking concepts. He's made some incredible jersey designs for all NHL teams. It's definitely worth a browse through his page if you are a jersey nut.
I love this one, using the St. Pats green but keeping the iconic Leafs logo. A fantastic way to pay homage to the Toronto St. Pats while keeping the Leafs identity.
This one is a reverse of the jerseys the Leafs wore For the 2018 Stadium Series game. The original white was a beautiful jersey, but the white pants and gloves ruined the look.
