November in the NHL is ''Hockey Fights Cancer'' month, when teams raise awareness and often auction off their white and purple warm up jerseys with proceeds going to cancer research. Players are also very outspoken about the cause as many have been affected by cancer in some way.

During a pregame ceremony about "Hockey Fights Cancer" this week, Flames defenseman Nikita Zadorov was captured holding the "I Fight For" sign that all players hold up, with Leafs' prospect Rodion Amirov's name on it. Zadorov reposted it to his Instagram with the "pray" emoji. It was a touching and classy move by Zadorov, one that Amirov surely appreciated.

For those that may not have heard, Amirov was diagnosed with a brain tumor at the beginning of this year and had been progressing very well in his recovery. He was even able to come to Toronto for training camp to be around the team and train with them. He was hoping to return to game action this month, but unfortunately had to return to Russia and resume his treatments.

We can only hope that Amirov is able to continue to fight and overcome this latest setback and return to action at some point. For now, though, we wish him the best of luck as he begins a new round of treatment.
