In hockey, on ice chirping is an important part of the game. For some, it can create a bit of an emotional or psychological edge. Sometimes, however, it can go a little too far and get a little too personal. That's exactly what occurred on Friday, during the Flames/Jets game in Calgary.

During the late stages of the game, Flames winger Dillon Dube absolutely hammered Jets rookie Cole Perfetti, who was very slow to get up and in obvious pain. It let to a late-game scrum between the two Western Canadian teams.

One thing that wasn't captured in the video above was Flames defenseman Rasmus Andersson shouting at Blake Wheeler and motioning to his chest, where the "C" is no longer resting, mocking him for Jets head coach Rick Bowness taking the captaincy away from him.

I'd imagine that the season series between these two clubs will be a choppy one. But hey - who doesn't love a heated rivalry?
