O'Neill took to Twitter this morning to plead with the assailant(s) about returning his golf clubs that he had left in the truck. It's probably a joke, to be fair, but O'Neill's truck will be covered by insurance, but to have to replace an entire bag of fitted clubs and get used to them would be a lengthy process. A process that he cannot undertake during golf season as he attempts to beat OverDrive co-host Bryan Hayes weekly.
Some of you may be wondering why he had his clubs in his truck in the middle of February and to put it simply, it's "sim season". With courses opening in about 6 weeks time, O'Neill has likely spent hours at the simulators attempting to finetune his swing and putting stroke in the hopes of besting Hayes at this year's Canadian Open. So if someone you know magically has a set of clubs for sale today, help the O-Dog out and maybe he'll treat you to a burger with ketchup on it.
