Ladies and gentlemen, the 2022 NHL Entry Draft is just 5 days away! I don't know how many of you feel about the draft, but it gets me amped up every year. Not only because we see the next crop of future NHLers brought into the league, but also because of the trades that seem to occur on or shortly before draft day every year.

One player who we may see moved is Ottawa Senators winger (and former Leaf) Connor Brown. According to Senators beat reporter Bruce Garrioch, the Sens are currently taking calls on Brown, a 444-game NHL veteran, who is coming fresh off of a 39-point season in 64 games. He did miss some time due to injury this season, including a broken jaw that he suffered after taking a puck to the face from teammate Thomas Chabot during warmups at a game in Calgary.

In addition, the Sens are believed to be interested in moving their 1st round pick (7th overall) in this year's draft as well. Obviously, they're not going to move the pick for the sake of moving the pick. The deal would have to be substantial, but recent reports are confirming that the Sens are looking for both a top-four defenseman and a "high end" winger, per Garrioch.

Honestly, I wouldn't be mad at a Connor Brown/Toronto Maple Leafs reunion if the Sens would consider eating 50% of his $3.6M salary in the final year of his contract. Just saying..
