We've seen many impressive point streaks this season so far, including Mitch Marner's astonishing 23-game streak, during which he recorded 11 goals and 21 assists! Well, a former Leaf is currently enjoying a little streak of his own as he establishes himself as a bona-fide NHLer. His 6-game point streak isn't quite as flashy as Marner's 23 games, but Alexander Barabanov is certainly making the most of the opportunity that Kyle Dubas granted him, albeit with another franchise.

For the back story, Barabanov came all the way from Russia to Toronto, promised an opportunity by Kyle Dubas. Dubas had also promised him that if there wasn't any opportunity in Toronto, he'd find him one in another NHL market. Dubas later traded him to San Jose, and it seems like he was right to see so much potential in Barabanov. He plays just over 18 minutes a game and has recorded 27 points so far this season.

A true act of class from Dubas to remain true to his word with Barabanov, as he could have easily just retained the now 28-year-old for some added depth. But instead, he went out and found a team that had an opening on the wing and made good on his promise to make sure Barabanov landed somewhere be could actually play.
