Commodore has been very vocal about his dislike, even hatred, for Babcock ever since his 2011-12 season in Detroit, where the now 42-year-old played under Babs. He's constantly on a warpath and is out for Babcock's blood on social media. In fact, his all-consuming disdain for his former bench boss is even impacting his interactions with fans.
Commodore recently signed an autograph for a Calgary Flames fan with a special little twist. He wrote "F**k Babs!" across the brim of the fan's Calgary Flames hat just above his signature.
That's actually a pretty fun piece of memorabilia for the fan. Commodore may not have been a star player in the league, but his brand of crash and bang hockey likely endeared him to the fans in Calgary back in 2002-03 and 2003-04. Commodore was a part of the Calgary Flames squad who went all the way to the Stanley Cup Finals back in 2004, coming up just short against the Tampa Bay Lightning in a very controversial series decision. Commodore won the Cup with the Carolina Hurricanes season following the 2004-05 lockout.
