Saturday night's tilt between the Leafs and Flames was a high-scoring affair, a rare occurrence for the Leafs this season. Sheldon Keefe's coaching genius saw David Kampf, Rasmus Sandin and Timothy Liljegren start things off in extra time. Sandin was immediately hit in the nose by Jonathan Huberdeau's stick and the Leafs were gifted a 4-on-3 power play.
After chances from Matthews and Nylander failed to find the twine, Mitch Marner stepped in from the point after a face off win. A shot-pass intended for John Tavares in front of the net bounced right back to the Maple Leafs' resident Magic Man and he made no mistake, beating Vladar before he could recover. Bowen's call was, as usual, electrifying.
