Habs reportedly looking to move Mitch Marner's former OHL line mate just one year after trading for him
Just one year after swinging a deal with the Arizona Coyotes to acquire forward Christian Dvorak in exchange for a 2022 1st round pick (CAR) and a 2024 2nd round pick (MTL), the Montreal Canadiens are reportedly looking at moving the 26-year-old this summer.
Dvorak, a 2nd round pick (58th overall) by the Coyotes back in 2014, played just 56 games for the Canadiens last season, recording just 11 goals and 33 points, despite being given ample opportunity within the team's top six.
The former London Knights standout was expected to fill the hole left by the departure of former 3rd overall pick Jesperi Kotkaniemi, who signed an offer sheet with the Canes last summer. Dvorak never quite found his game with the Habs, but is still within his prime years and may benefit from a change of scenery.
It is worth noting that Dvorak, along with Leafs forward Mitch Marner and Flames forward Matthew Tkachuk formed one of the most dominant lines in the OHL in 2015-16 season, en route to a Memorial Cup Championship.
