The Leafs-Lightning rivalry is quickly becoming must see TV. For the third time in a calendar year, the Leafs erased a multi goal deficit en route to an overtime victory over their Floridian rivals. Of course, it's not all roses, something is seriously wrong with Ilya Samsonov. Like it or not, he's still got to play at least another 20 games this season if the Leafs want to avoid running rookie netminder Joe Woll into the ground. But that's tomorrow's problem. Today, we celebrate in the best way possible, by sitting back and watching our good friend LeafsJellyHD's highlight pack with the Voice of the Maple Leafs himself, Mr Joe Bowen. Joined of course by his longtime partner, Jim Ralph.

Things started off well, Matthew Knies opened the scoring in his first game on the top line with some nifty hand eye and a beauty backhand finish!

After 4 straight Lightning goals before the end of the first period, Samsonov got the hook in favour of Joe Woll and the Leafs woke up. Auston Matthews did the Auston Matthews thing and kicked off the comeback!

Matthew Knies showed once again why he deserves his new spot on the top line. He made an absolutely gross spinorama backhand pass to Matthews who brought the Leafs to within one with his 12th of the season, and his fifth in 2 games.

The Leafs' 4th and 5th goals came just 8 seconds apart, with the new look 3rd line of Robertson, Domi and Jarnkrok making magic in the offensive end. On the ensuing face off, Mitch Marner decided he wanted to join his line mates in the goal column, snapping home his 5th of the season to put the Leafs ahead.

The exchange between Joe and Jim here is priceless. These guys are just so good together.

The Lightning managed to squeak one through Joseph Woll to force overtime, but the Leafs would not be denied. Calle Jarnkrok finished off a perfect feed from Morgan Rielly to end the game. William Nylander picked up the other assist on the winner, extending his record breaking point streak to 12 games. Just pay the man already!

Overall, a pretty boring game right? Well, maybe not boring, but definitely not anything new for the Leafs and Lightning. The Leafs snapped their 4 game losing streak with the type of win they can build off of. All they need now is a hypnotherapist to sort out Sammy's issues and some healthy defencemen and the team will be back on track!
