How Ryan O'Reilly spent his last day with the Blues is really going to endear him to Leafs Nation
Before he was acquired by the Leafs late last night, Ryan O'Reilly spent the day with 5-year-old Hank Walker as the Blues signed him to a one day contract. Back in 2020, the Make-A-Wish foundation fulfilled his wish of being able to play hockey with O'Reilly and yesterday he got to see O'Reilly one last time.
Hank got to tour the Blues' dressing room, meet the team and got to skate with O'Reilly after practice. He even threw a massive hit on Brayden Schenn almost sending him over the boards.
O'Reilly joins a Leafs team that spends a lot of time doing good in the community and he will bring a wealth of leadership to an already strong leadership group. It won't take long for him to endear himself to Leaf fans even more as he could be in the lineup Saturday night when the Leafs take on the Habs.
