Happy Monday and, more importantly, HAPPY GAME DAY, folks! It's a great day for some Leafs hockey and the Buds are in Montreal to take on the Habs in the first half of a back-to-back tonight, with a trip to Columbus on the docket for tomorrow night's game against the Blue Jackets.

For those wondering, the newly acquired Ilya Lyubushkin will not be making his Leafs debut this evening in Montreal. That said, he will be suiting up for the Buds tomorrow in Columbus.

As for the other piece in the package for Nick Ritchie, Ryan Dzingel is still awaiting his fate, which we will find out at 2pm when the waiver claims are announced. If he clears waivers, he'll report to the Toronto Marlies. If he's claimed, well, it's not the end of the world. Either way, the Leafs are about to give themselves some breathing room, as Dzingel's $1.1M deal will not count against the cap.

In terms of which numbers each of these new additions will wear for the Buds, Ilya Lyubushkin normally wears #46, but will be switching it up and wearing #26.

In Dzingel's case, he typically wears #10, which is of course retired (George Armstrong). If he clears waivers and reports to the Marlies, he'll don #18. If he ends up being called up at any point this season, it's likely that he'll continue to wear #18, last worn by Michael Amadio (claimed by Vegas earlier this season).
