Samsonov did play a touch better in Florida than he did against Montreal and Minnesota, surrendering just 2 goals last night, but he's still not satisfied with where his game is at the moment.
Head coach Sheldon Keefe spoke following the loss and credited Samsonov with making a few key saves on the penalty kill, but did point out that of the two goals that were scored on him from a further range, at least one of them should have been stopped. When asked about the two he allowed on Thursday following the loss, Samsonov showed that he hasn't lost his sense of humour.
Glad to see he's maintaining a positive attitude, even following a loss. There is some progress being made, so that's the silver-lining here, I suppose. Samsonov was also quick to point out that the Leafs have a lot of hockey coming up over the next week, with 4 games remaining on their current road trip.
The Leafs have a set of road games coming up over the next week or so with games in Tampa, Washington, Dallas and Nashville, before returning home to face the LA Kings at Scotiabank Arena on Halloween night.
