Coming over to a new team can be tough for some players. When a guy is traded and lands in a new city with new teammates, they often want to do something to establish themselves right away, whether that be scoring a big goal, landing a big hit, or even dropping the gloves. Unfortunately for Vancouver's Mark Friedman, he messed with the wrong bull.

Friedman was brought in by the Canucks this week in a deal with the Penguins that saw defensive prospect Jack Rathbone heading to Pittsburgh. Friedman made his Canucks debut last night against the Tampa Bay Lightning and decided to drop the gloves with former Nashville Predator Tanner Jeannot. It didn't work out too well for him, as Jeannot made him look almost defenseless.

It was a bit of a mis-match for Friedman, who stands 5'11 and weighs just 185 lbs. Jeannot was a much larger opponent, standing 6'2 and coming in at 220 lbs. More guts than brains for Friedman here.

I'm sure the Canucks appreciated Friedman's efforts and willingness to do something to try to spark the team. Nevertheless, it just wasn't his night and the Canucks fell 4-3 to the Bolts. Jeannot landed 4 hits, fired 2 pucks on net and added his fighting major for the Lightning as he looks to find his way in his first full season with his new team as well.
