Insider says several transaction announcements are coming from the Isles
New York Islanders GM Lou Lamoriello has always been a man who wants to keep the hockey world on their toes. The Islanders have been heavily connected to free agent Nazem Kadri, with some pundits suggesting that a deal might already be done. Now it appears as though there are several announcements coming from the Isles, per ESPN's Kevin Weekes. Could Kadri be one of them?
A couple signings we definitely could see are contracts given to defenders Noah Dobson and the newly-acquired Alexander Romanov. Both are young, up-and-coming studs and will certainly be a big part of the Islanders top-four this season.
Kadri is the real attention-driver here. He was a huge part of the Avalanche winning the Stanley Cup and had a massive season this year, notching 28 goals and amassing 59 assists for 87 points in 71 games. Adding Kadri would be huge for the Islanders as he, Mat Barzal and Brock Nelson would be an incredible 1-2-3 punch down the middle.
