With the Vancouver Canucks currently tied for 31st in the NHL in points, it's pretty apparent that something's gotta give. During his most recent 32 Thoughts, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman revealed that the Canucks are nearing the point of running a fire sale and there are only two players on the roster that GM Patrik Allvin won't consider moving.
In terms of who may fit in Toronto, there was a report that the Leafs were very high on Nils Hoglander in his draft year (2019). In addition, Postmedia and TSN radio personality Bruce Garrioch also revealed that the Leafs have touched base with the Canucks about defenseman Tyler Myers. Whether there is a fit with anyone else on the roster remains to be seen, but given some of the price tags associated with these players, the Leafs may be somewhat limited here.
