Islanders fan proposes to girlfriend at the game and it goes horribly wrong
I've always thought public proposals, especially at sporting events, were a bad idea and last night confirmed just how bad they are. At the Islanders game, which they lost 3-1 to Florida, a fan thought it would be a good idea to propose to his girlfriend.
Shirtless and down on one knee on the stairs, he asked his girlfriend to marry him. At first, she was in shock and it looked like she was going to say yes. Unfortunately for this poor Islanders' fan after a quick whisper in his ear, she waved her hands, said no and left him.
You have to feel for the guy. Not only has he not gotten over John Tavares leaving, but he now has to get over his, what I'm guessing is now his ex girlfriend, leaving him on one knee, shirtless as she fled from the camera and 19,000 fans staring at them.
