In his first game back from injury, Jack Campbell held the fort while the Leafs played a terrible first two periods Saturday night. Once the third period started though, the Leafs' top line of Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner and Michael Bunting, along with defenseman Morgan Rielly, stepped up and completely took the game over.

The four of them combined for seven points in the final frame with Matthews notching his 51st of the season to kick things off. Marner continues his ridiculous pace as he set a new Maple Leafs franchise record for points in a 33-game stretch with 60 points.

Asked after the game about the Leafs' dynamic and dangerous top line, Campbell said that while he loves having them on the team (who wouldn't) the most impressive thing about them is the attitudes they bring to the rink every day and their incredible work ethic.

There's no doubt that Campbell appreciates having them a little more when he and the other netminders were struggling to help them outscore their goaltending and defensive issues and find a way to keep winning games. Even if that meant having to put up a 10 spot in Detroit when a 7-1 lead should've been enough.
