Jack Campbell takes a big step forward in his recovery
Jack Campbell is progressing well in his recovery from a rib injury that has kept him out of action for a few weeks already. We saw massive progress late this past week where he had extended practice sessions with the Leafs goaltending coach Steve Briere.
In his morning media availability today Keefe said that Campbell is joining the Leafs on their upcoming road trip and will practice with the team for the first time since his injury Tuesday. It is not expected to be a full practice for him Tuesday, but the plan is to give him a full practice Wednesday.
Should these next few practices go well for Campbell he should be ready for game action come the weekend and Leaf fans can only hope that this time off has given him time to get back to his pre all star game form and solidify what has been consistently inconsistent goaltending for the Leafs since 2022 started.
