Jake Muzzin injured again?
The Toronto Maple Leafs had not been at full health for the entire season until the last 5 days or so, and it doesn't look too good for Jake Muzzin on Monday after he left the game in Seattle in the first period after colliding with Kraken forward Mason Appleton in the neutral zone.
Muzzin had just returned from a concussion that he had suffered last month during a game against the St. Louis Blues after taking a huge hit behind the net from
Klim Kostin.
Muzzin, who will be 33 years old next week, has had his fair share of injury troubles throughout his career and if he has indeed been injured yet again on Monday, it will only raise more questions about his durability.
I suspect that even if Muzzin does return to Monday's game, we may not know whether or not he has suffered any setbacks until after next practice.
The Woodstock, Ontario native has played in 37 games for the Leafs this season, notching 1 goal and 10 assists for 11 points over that span. He has two seasons remaining after this one on his current, earning $5.625M per season.
