Joe Bowen's call on John Tavares' OT winner on a marathon shift was absolutely electric

Man, what did the Florida Panthers ever do to Ilya Samsonov? With a shot at clinching a playoff spot, the Panthers were the hungrier team all night as they faced off with the Leafs on Monday. Despite being doubled up in shots, Samsonov managed to drag the Leafs to overtime. In the overtime period, he was stellar again, making several saves before a fantastic pad stop led to a heroic effort from an exhausted John Tavares, which ended the game in spectacular fashion.

Any Leaf fan over a certain age knows that there is only one true voice of the Maple Leafs. Joe Bowen's "Holy Mackinaw" has become synonymous with big plays from the boys in blue. Bowen is massively popular among hardcore Leaf fans young and old. Heck, I even bought a personalized video from him to tell my parents when my wife and I got pregnant with our daughter. Leaf fans love Joe, and Joe loves the Leafs.
