As the hockey world gets set for Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals tonight, Tampa head coach Jon Cooper spoke to the media this morning about potential lineup changes. Cooper said that he will be going with the same lineup as Game 5, which means Brayden Point will not be playing.

Point has been dealing with what appears to be either a hip or groin injury since Game 7 against the Leafs in round 1 and has only skated in 3 games since.

Cooper said that there is potential for Point to play in Game 7 but said that he is dealing with a "severe injury". Given his limited playing time and how ineffective Point has been in the games he has played, it sounds like he will be headed for surgery by the end of the week, once the series wraps up.

While not having Point in the lineup is a big loss for Tampa, the team has found a way to win without him. They will look to continue their winning ways tonight and send the series back to Colorado for Game 7 Tuesday night.
