The Washington Capitals have some questions that need answering this summer and reportedly have an interest in bringing Avalanche forward Nazem Kadri to the U.S. Capitol. According to Sammi Silber, Kadri is a name that stands out as a potential "solution" for the Capitals this offseason.

Kadri is coming off one of his best seasons to date with the Avalanche and showcasing more in the playoffs, as he's been quite the force in every series for the Avs.

Meanwhile, the Washington Capitals will be looking for some improvement this offseason. After an up and down 2021-22 regular season, the Caps were able to make the playoffs for the eighth consecutive year but were eliminated in the first round by the Florida Panthers.

Caps GM Brian MacLellan has already confirmed that there will be changes in Washington this summer and moving out some bodies to make room for a player of Nazem Kadri's tenacity and skill set could bode well for the Caps, especially with Tom Wilson sidelined for the next 6-8 months after undergoing a surgical procedure to reconstruct his ACL.
