With Kadri heading off the ice under his own power, many suspected that his absence was due to having to go through concussion protocol, which requires him to be in the quiet room for at least 15 minutes to be assessed. It's unclear whether or not that was the reason for Kadri's absence or if the injury was another type of upper-body injury, but the end result is the same. Kadri did not return to the game and the early prognosis on Kadri's status doesn't appear to be a good one.
Per TSN's Darren Dreger, the Avs could be preparing to play out the remainder of the Western Conference Finals without Kadri, who is reportedly "very likely done for the series".
It would be difficult to imagine a scenario in which Evander Kane ISN'T suspended for his hit on Kadri, which resulted in an injury. It was about as dirty as a play can get. Dangerous and completely unnecessary. I'd imagine we'll be hearing from Player Safety at some point tonight or tomorrow.
